We played tourist, going to Acadia National Park; the place was packed, and to Schoodic Point, also part of Acadia, but in WInter Harbor, and far less busy. We took a nature cruise around Frenchmans Bay, where we viewed enourmous mansions, called "cottages" along with stunning sceanery and seals and porpoises in the water. The following evening, we went out on a sailboat with two other couples for a three hour sunset cruise. It was freezing cold, despite having on a coat and being wrapped in a blanket, but worth the discomfort to watch the sun set and moon rise simultaneously.
I got to visit Haystack, the school on Deer Isle where Victor learned to blow glass, with the most magical and fairy like forests, thick with moss and trees. I had always wanted to go to art school; I would have liked going there.
During our travels, we stopped and visited with several of Victors long time friends, one who grow cannabis, legally. We helped him harvest one of his enormous plants, then had a lovely dinner with him and his wife; they grow everything they eat. There is a film about him, called, "Bob and the Trees."<br />
We started our drive home the following morning from Bobs house in the Bershires, but by 11:30pm, we were so weary, we pulled into a rest area st the N.C. welcome center, for a short nap. Five hours later we woke up, and contimued our trip home. After napping a few more hours at home, we finshed our trip with homemade blueberry pancakes, in honor of our fantastic trip to Maine.
Doesn't he look like a sea captain?

Victor said we'd eat lobster everyday we were in MAine, and we did.

We visited with Freddie, a long time friend of Victors, from his biker days.
