So Much for Resolutions.

I had every intention of blogging daily, just like I did in the good old days...sigh...

Why haven't I blogged? Im dealing with a stressful and expensive car situation. I took my van into City Transmission, a garage I have used and trusted for 6 or 7 years. I wasnt having any problems with it, but I wanted it looked at before driving to Florida. Again, NOTHING was wrong with it. That nothing cost me nearly $1700. I was told the alternator was going bad, as was the serpintine belt...and all the other belts would need to be replaced soon, so might as well do it now. I had the work done, like I said, I trusted them. A week after the work was done I noticed a clunking sound coming from my engine. I took it back in, and they disconecdcted the battery and ran a diagnostic. After reconnecting the battery the van wouldn't start. I needed a new battery. Sheesh. "Go ahead and replace it, I told them." It had to be replaced so the tech could drive the van and hear the cluncking noise. After the drive I got a call. "Your water pump is bad and while the tech was driving your radiator strated leaking, and needs replaced." I questioned that, I mean my van had been fine! I mentioned coming in to get my van, and they said that was fine, but it was undrivable and would have to be towed. All this took place last week and I still dont have my van, but Im looking at at least an additional $1800 in repairs...and Im sceduled to get new tires on it tomorrow.

I need a job, and some sleep. The anxiety from this is keeping me awake at night.

What else have I been up to? I've been on a couple of dates, both men are scientists, but may be too cerebral for me...if I could find a silly scientist, that might work. I've had two dates with one of them and a second date scheduled with the other.

Jennifer and I walked the River Arts trail, and stopped in at a new shop; its full of art, vintage items and home furnishings. I found a beautiful painting of water drops, and some leopard dineing chairs, that Im drooling over, though even I will admith that they would be a bit much with my zebra carpet. I will keep. leopard print soley on my body.
