Impacting my life, (and bank account) is my ankle; the one I had surgery on 7 years ago. Since the surgery my ankle has grown to 4-5 times normal, is swollen, hurts all the time and looks horrendous. Walking had become difficult so I sunk severeal thousand dollars into doctor visits; my health insurance covers nothing. Rather than the suspected diagnosis of cancer, I instead have a rare autoimmune disease, (necrobiosis lipoidica) so rare that it hasn't been studied and there is'nt any protocol for treating it. I think I'd rather have cancer; you know, cut the problem out. Enough of that dark cloud.
Sunset in the rearview mirror; I live in nirvana.

Wednesday, Victor was given tickets to an event celebrating the dance company, Terpscorps, and their upcoming performance of Cleopatra, which we will be seeing in a couple of weeks. It was held at the beautiful Grove Arcade, where we had drinks with plastic snake garnishes, and appetizer's. After visiting with Michelle, who gave us the tickets, we walked to Modesto for dinner, followed by drinks at my undisclosed favorite bar; it was a fantastic night. Spontaneity rocks my world.

Last night we met Mark and Trip at the new hot restaurant in Asheville; Neng Jr's. I'm trying to understand all the hoopla, because neither Victor or I were impressed, but the company was delightful.
