Tuesday was the Best. Then came Wednesday.

Megan and I went out for our weekly coffee date, something we both really look forward to. despite living next to each other, we don't spend much time together, so these dates have become our time to catch up. We followed coffee with a trip to the thrift store, where I got all of this INCLUDING THE CHAIR, for $36! Megan spotted it as soon as we walked in the store, and knew it would be perfect for my home. I also got 6 linen napkins, two pilllow shams, a cake pan, a mint julep cup, and a silk skirt. Robert, our favorite cashier at Trader Joe's is an avid thrifter, and I can't wait to tell him about my finds.

Once home I made lunch for Liam, Megan and myself; crispy salmon cups. SO easy and so good.

In the evening Victor came into town and surprised me with a romantic evening. We went to the NC Glass Center, to see a glass violin, and hear it being played; several of Victors glass blowing friends were there and its interesting to listen ot them talk. Dinner was at my favorite restaurant, Zambra's, where we sat in a romantic alcove, and had martinis and tapas. After that we strolled to the wine bar and listened to live music, followed by a stop at our local dive bar for a cocktail. It was a fantastic evening. A smart man knows that wooing and romance never stop.

The following moning I woke up and got ready for work. I took a peek outside and saw how overcast it was and thought that it must be getting ready to rain. I walked six paces to my car, and felt like an elephant was on my chest, and I couldn't breathe; I lost my voice. Megan, who was driving me into town, said that there was a hazardous air warning due to smoke from Canada. I went into work hoping I would get better, but nope, still had trouble breathing and talking, so my boss sent me home, where I holed up with my air purifier. Heres hoping Thursdays air is better.
