Megan is in Texas visiting her closest friend, Corey; they've known each other since Megan was 6. While not close when growing up, they reconnected on FB a couple of years ago, and are now besties. I wish her mom, my friend Vikie, was here to see the friendship our girls have developed; her heart would be warmed as is mine. I'm spending the week with Liam, playing Parcheesi, watching Dr Strange, and baking. So far I've made oatmeal cookies, an apple galette, and two loaves of pumpkin bread. This pretty much blows my plan for eating healthy; what can I say? I love to bake. I'm also doing alot of thinking...yeah, even more than normal, re-establishing boundries, (I'll get the hang of those yet), and catching up with friends.
Dinner with Bonnie...I was so excited when this beautiful social butterfly had time for a visit! She has lived in Asheville forever, knows everyone and kept me entertianed with stories about both.
I love this time of year when the sun hits my disco ball and lights up the living room.
Our neighbor, Leon came over one morning and taught me how to play the game "Hive" It has the strategy of chess, but is played without a board. It took a few games for me to catch on, but eventually I won and reveled in the victory of beating a twelve year old.
