Wednesday Week

(The Undertones)

You'd think with the pandemic winding down, things would feel more normal, instead our days feel even stranger than before; maybe its the time change. Whatever the reason, our household has been off kilter, we're staying up later and sleeping longer, when we're able to sleep...time has lost all meaning. One thing I can count on everyday is a video call from Brooke. Today she was excited about my upcoming visit, and already has a plan in place to go to Target together to buy Goldfish crackers and a toy because thats what we do. In preparation for my trip I pulled all six of my wardrobe bins, (shoes, handbags, lingere, winter, summer, and clothes to sell) out of storage, and went through them in our parking lot, its the only place there is space. Im feeling the need for a wardrobe overhaul. Everything I have is several years old, and the majority is thrifted; Im feeling a bit shabby, and everything is a wee bit tight, Im sure it has nothing to do with the beer I've been drinking. Yesterday I joined a friend who I met through my Not Dead Yet group, for lunch and we ended up talking until 5:30. Its always such a delight to meet a kindred spirit.

Life is a journey to meet the people weird like you." -Atticus Poetry
